SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

OF FAITH

Series 3.1.7 - #7

Words of Light Upon the Face of Insurmountable Obstacles

January 7, 2005

I am blessed, for I have placed my trust in Jesus. He is my shield, my sword, and my battle-axe. These huge things before me are no match for him. I look unto him, the author and the finisher of my faith. He has begun a good work in me. Now he will not finish in a bad way.

I trust in God with all my heart, and I do not lean to my own understanding. He has ordered my steps, and nothing in my path is immovable. There is no problem that he cannot solve. There is no obstacle that is insurmountable. He is building strong men; therefore, I am strong in him. Strong men are not built on easy seas. Strong men are built on stormy seas. Though the waves seem to roar beyond my comprehension and are uncontrollable with human strength, they are tame in his sight. I will not be intimidated by the things that are beyond human strength.

Jesus is the Lord, and all things are possible through him. The enemy has shown me the mirror of impossibility. I disregard his mirror with its many reflections. The vision of God is sure, and its fruit will be brought to pass by his hand. He is faithful. It is impossible for him to lie. He will hear me in the day of trouble. His name will defend me against all adversaries. He has sent help from his sanctuary on high. He has sent strength for me out of Zion. I rejoice in my salvation. In his name, I set up a banner of trust. He will fulfill all of my petitions. He will save his anointed ones. With the saving strength of his right hand, he will save me. He has heard my cry from heaven, and his will is being done on the earth. Some trust in chariots, and some trust in horses, but I remember his name always, and I will never be ashamed. He has heard me; therefore, I do not fear.

God knows that the enemy is stronger than I am, but the Lord will deliver me from him and from all those who work against me and those that hate me. God will deliver me from the strivings of men. He will deliver them into my hands because I have placed my trust in him. He will not pervert judgment. He will not pervert justice. He has given me the sure mercies of David; therefore, mercy rejoices against judgment. My beginnings have been small, yet my latter end shall have great increase. I have made supplication unto Jesus, the Almighty. He has awakened for me, and now he will make my habitation prosperous. He knows that my life is as yesterday. My days upon the earth are but a shadow. I am as a tree. I know that a tree cannot grow without water, and God has made me better than a tree.

I turn from hypocrisy, and I will not forget him, and my way shall never perish. Some trust in a god that is like a spider's web. When I place my trust in these gods, it is like leaning upon a house. My hope shall not stand. It will not hold me fast. It shall not endure. I purpose to trust in the Lord always. He will never cast me away, neither will he help the evil doers. He will fill my mouth with laughing and my lips with rejoicing. They that hate me shall be clothed with shame, and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to naught. I have not filled my belly with the east wind, neither have I uttered vain knowledge. My talk has not been unprofitable, and my speeches have been filled with good. I rise up and cast off fear, and I offer prayer unto God continually, for he is trustworthy.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
